Our latest project involved transforming a small urban backyard into a hidden oasis. The client wanted a space where they could host family gatherings with fresh produce from the garden as well as one that would be suited to relaxation and entertaining. We utilized a mix of local and sustainable materials including native hard wood timber and Tasmanian sandstone to define the space and create easy to access veggie beds, repurposing existing materials in the process. A combination of sandstone paving, timber decking and a respectable sized lawn provided a variety of recreation and entertaining spaces while a selection of native and exotic plants formed a vibrant, low-maintenance garden. The end result was a stunning outdoor space that exceeded the client’s expectations.
